Back in 2010 the ‘Hole in the Wall Curtains’ played host, and film location, to Kirstie Allsopp and her Homemade Home Team. We were all so thrilled to be part of ‘Kirstie’s Homemade Home’ series that we couldn’t resist using our new blog to boast about it!
When Kirstie and her team arrived at ‘Hole in the Wall Curtains’ they were in the middle of shooting the 2nd series of ‘Kirstie’s Homemade Home’. The main purpose of their visit was to use our extensive workroom facilities to make a bean bag, as the following quote from the Channel 4 website explains:
“Twelve-year-old Dan needs a bedroom fit for a teenager. Kirstie decides to make him a new funky bean bag with the help of textile designer Amanda McCrory.”
During a long day of filming ‘Hole in the Wall Curtains’ happily supplied Kirstie and her crew with the fabrics and accessories required to complete the ‘funky bean bag’ (we’d do anything for 15 minutes of fame!). Finally, at 10:00pm, the filming (and bean bag) were complete!
The experience left the ‘Hole in the Wall Curtains’ team some great memories (and, as you can see, pictures). We just hope Kirstie and her team enjoyed it as much as we did, and will come back to visit us again soon!
More pictures of the days events can be seen on our Facebook page.
