You can fit your blind either inside or outside the window recess, when deciding which you prefer it is important to remember that the outside recess fitting is preferred when;
- the recess is less than 7.5cm (3″) deep
- it is an inward opening window
- where the window width or height varies by more than 2cm (3/4″) (more usual in older houses)

This photograph shows two single custom made slot top curtains, together with matching wallpaper and bespoke scatter cushions. The ‘Hole in the Wall Curtains’ professional fitters have draped each curtain by using holdbacks and tassel tiebacks.
This photograph shows a set of made to measure panelled pinch pleat curtains. Contrast beads and feather trim help to complete the look. ‘Hole in the Wall Curtains’ also supplied a custom made roman blind and matching wallpaper.
This photograph shows two separate sets of custom made curtains. Firstly ‘Hole in the Wall Curtains’ have custom made a set of slot top curtains, and then to compliment them, a further set of voile curtains have been made with a feather trim on the leading edge. A combination of metal holdbacks and tassel tiebacks have been used to hold the two sets of made to measure curtains back.
This photo shows a set of custom made curtains with straight pelmet in a more traditional setting. The introduction of a cord on the straight pelmet has helped to create the more ‘regal’ feel. The customer also decided upon a number of scatter cushions to help complete the look.
